Brendan Robinson is best known for his adorkable role as Lucas Gottesman on Pretty Little Liars. Fans were first introduced to his character in Season 1 when he fell for Hanna Marin and our love for him blossomed. However, we loyal viewers didn’t only fall for Lucas — we fell for Brendan, too! Our favorite nerdy hunk turned bad boy hasn’t been around Rosewood in a while, but he’s back in Season 6, and according to Brendan, Lucas has a big role in the mayhem unfolding in the “Summer of Answers.” We can’t wait to see him back in action!
That being said, since we are in the midst of a hiatus with PLL fevers rising, here are 15 incredibly awesome facts about Brendan Robinson to tide you over:
1.) First, and most importantly, Brendan Robinson absolutely loves Disney Land. The cute, adorable nerd from Rosewood is a kid at heart, and he frequently shares pictures with fans he meets while visiting the happiest place on earth. He’s even been spotted with the actress who plays our favorite Rosewood villain, Janel Parrish!

2.) If Brendan could star on any television show, he’d choose Arrested Development, The Sopranos, or House of Cards. Lucas Gottesman in politics is just what the world needs. He’d be President in no time!
3.) This Rosewood cutie is a film aficionado, too! He’s seen Ferris Bueller’s Day Off at least 10 or 15 times.
4.) Sweet is definitely a word we’d use to describe Brendan! And it’s actually his biggest vice. Robinson is a big fan of French macaroons and he told fashionstyle.com that his newest guilty pleasure is a Pinkberry hazelnut chocolate yogurt with scoops of Nutella.

5.) Brendan loves his fans…even the super zealous ones. His craziest fan interaction occurred when he was walking around in a bookstore in his hometown of Portland, Oregon: A woman once followed him, grabbed his arm with no explanation, and led him to her daughter who was hiding in a corner because she was too embarrassed to say hello. B-Rob does have that affect on people! Another OMG encounter? One of his neighbors slipped a box of chocolate-covered cherries under his door, along with a note asking him to follow them on Twitter. “I was a little paranoid so I didn’t eat them,” he admitted to fashionstyle.com.
6.) Robinson shares artistic similarities with his onscreen counterpart. Whereas Lucas is passionate about photography, Brendan enjoys painting! “I just moved into a new house and my new project is to create paintings,” he told F&S. “I’ve always had a passion for that. My mom and I kind of started it together. When I was growing up she kind of redesigned the living room area of our house. She didn’t know what to put on our walls, but was kind of obsessed with home makeover shows — she was a lawyer, a career path as far from art as you could choose — and she said ‘You know what, I feel like I could do this’ and started pulling pictures from home decorating magazines photos.”

7.) Brendan favors a certain PLL couple….and it’s not Lucanna! This one may come as a shock, but he actually ships Ellzra. That’s right, Robinson is all about Ella and Ezra getting together. Ezria fans, deep breaths please — he’s 99.9% joking around. That said, though he respects the union that #Haleb, he’s totally down for more scenes between Hanna and Lucas. “I’d also like to see Hanna and Lucas go back to that platonic, male female relationship they had,” he told Alloy Entertainment. “I think it was really sweet and it brought out some different sides of Hanna that are interesting.”
8.) He had his first kiss at 14. “It was in a play—does that count?” he revealed during an interview with Seventeen.com. “I was playing Peter Pan and I kissed Wendy in a scene. I had a little crush on her in real life too, so that didn’t hurt.”
9.) Lucas may be juggling yearbook duties, schoolwork, and conquering his gambling problem, but Brendan Robinson can actually juggle IRL! His fourth grade teacher taught him how to and it’s been smooth tossin’ ever since then. Another one of his unieque talents? He can ride a unicycle! (Fast forward to @ 1:46 for the details!)
10.) Lights, camera, action! Brendan began acting classes at age 6, and knew he wanted to pursue it as a career by 9. “After I’d been taking classes for a couple of years, I began auditioning for plays at local theater companies,” he told atouchofpinkblog.com. Portland actually has a very vibrant theater scene. There’s nearly two dozen theater companies. So, I would play the “kid” roles in these productions all over town. I did almost 25 plays between the ages of 9 and 18.”

11.) His dream role actually sounds like a brilliant idea! “Being in a movie with Tom Hanks,” he confessed, when asked which Hollywood A-lister he’d love to work with. “He’s my ultimate role model. I get a lot of comments from people that I remind them of a young Tom Hanks. I’d love to play his son in something, now that his own son is too old (in movie years) to play his son. That is an ultimate dream for sure.”
12.) What’s been his favorite PLL episode to work on so far? “The First Secret”! “I have fond memories of the whole cast lying around and eating junk food really, really late at night while the crew set up the cameras and lights,” he revealed. “It was like we were having a sleepover. It’s those bonding moments with the cast that are the most fun for me.”
13.) Speaking of Lucas, Brendan actually auditioned for the role of Mike Montgomery first. However, he later read for Lucas and felt it was “a natural fit.” The casting directors definitely agreed because they chose him for this prime part. And where was Brendan when he received the news that he was going to star on Pretty Little Liars? In line at Barnes and Noble!
14.) Among his many other talents such as acting, juggling and painting, add tap dancing to the list! Since Brendan attended an arts high school, he couldn’t participate in Physical Education. Instead, he chose to study tap dancing for a year. Speaking of dance, here is a throwback pic of Brendan paying homage to “Thriller”:
15.) And our favorite fact about Brendan? He’s happy with his life and wouldn’t change it for the world. “One of the things I’ve been working on recently it to take the time to be grateful for my life and what I have and what I’ve accomplished in the moment,” he told Seventeen in 2011. “In Hollywood, it’s really, really, really easy to look at the people around you and wish you had what they have, or wish for more than what you have. And it’s easy to forget about all of the things that you do have. So, honestly, I wouldn’t trade places with anyone at the moment, even just for one day, because I love being who I am, and love what I have in my life.”
